"My unique signature method involves simplifying the figurative structures and patterns then combining an original process
of layering using various techniques and mediums. I have a deep love for developing and uniting layers of color mixed with a diversity of structure and form. It has always been
my anticipation that the audience would be intrigued and genuinely pondering about what is in front of them. I want the audience
to have a conversation of thoughts
and not walk away thinking,
“Oh, that’s nice.”
all because
Hew's passion for art could be blamed on the summer art & craft classes she attended in
the early 70's. Ideas are generated from her travels along with a collection of old family photos. Hew's artwork has found its way across the world in private collections, exhibits and galleries.

Hew's process involves simplifying the figurative structures and patterns then combining an original method of layering
using various painting techniques as fingerpainting, spray painting and
traditional brushwork. The final step is adding words in partnership with the piece
to achieve an emotional connection and instill a conversation of thoughts for the audience.
